Soundproofing is in Slovenia regulated by The rules on noise protection in buildings and Technical guideline TSG-1-005: 2012 Noise protection in buildings. Investors and designers hire me to help them find solutions that suit regulatory acoustic requirements and above. I prepare a report of soundproofing with which I prove that proposed solutions are in compliance with the regulations and investors wishes.
Soundproofing is looking for solutions on the outer layers (skin) of the building, the passage of sound energy from one room to another. It lowers the transmission of impact noise through the structure of the building; it finds solutions for noise suppression of operational equipment such as HVAC systems, engine rooms, fans, thermal stations and solves the problems of excessive reverberation noise in large common areas.
